Phone had a blown speaker right out of the box so my expertise wasn't the best. For the value i'd recommend the Z30 it's a far better phone all around
Got this phone as a replacement for my blackberry passport that had the screen broken and boy what a replacement,my question to myself was why did not I purchase the leap in the 1st place instead of the expensive passport. Don't get me wrong, the passport is still an excellent phone but the leap does everything the passport does and at a large bargain as well. Great touchscreen, simple to use interface,. What a phone!!!
I replaced my Q10, so I could get a much bigger screen. The leap in no Z30 but it gets the duty done on a budget. Reception is nice, no dropped calls because of the phone ,the net work on the opposite hand leaves lots to be desired. ;)
Build quality is solid, nice weight and battery life is nice. I can go an entire day and still have over enough power left with out needing a charge !
Great phone... I paid 700$ for the samsung S5 and since the beginning I never got reception anyplace....I could hear the caller but the caller couldnt hear ME.. I went through this for a full year... everybody said it was TMobile... I told them I always had two tmobile and after I used to have several blackberry's I can hear them always... So I waited until the Leap came out and purchased it and it works nice.... Signal is nice anywhere i'm... No more issues with callers hearing me... The home screen sometimes freezes so I have to hit the button to black out and then hit it again to get back to the screen.... Always loved shot and will continue... And it was below half the value of the samsung S5 that ne'er worked!
I have bought this phone twice now and the speaker keeps going out on the phone therefore the ringer now not works and you can not hear it ring.
Other than that its an excellent phone but what good is a phone with no ringer or ringtones the speaker is crap crap crap.
I completely love this phone! I also have the Blackberry Z10. The screen on the Leap is larger so that means a bigger keyboard to work with and it's easier to use this keyboard with long fingernails. I do not use this phone to the complete potential but what i use it for is great! i'm glad I purchased this.
I have been using Blackberry for many years.
I lost the Z10 then using previous Q10,
Now finally have the LEAP.
Moved from Z-10 to Leap. Nice battery, screen and performance. Keyboard is very easy with the larger screen. I prefer the minamilist style. Feels comfortable in my hand. 1st BB winner in a decade.
Over all a beautiful phone i'd have given five stars had it been the american version with U.S.A. FDD LTE bands but i was sent the european modle that doesn't support us LTE
No problem, like this phone. I own a Blackberry Passport Leap and Classic. Since receiving the Leap it's replaced my Passport as my go to driver. Runs nice and android apps work awesome on the Leap! android apps feel plenty better on the touch screen than they do on a device with a keyboard. Build quality is nice, dropped it on the concrete the opposite day and it survived without any damage! Solid phone, good enough camera, no complaints here.
The perfect upgrade for the Z10. I fully love this phone. Very good, elegant and classic. The design is basically smart to. Running OS 10.3.2.680 brings a load of different choices and features not available to the Z10.
Follows the cameras, the images are super nice, even the front camera takes nice selfies, creating it my best selfie blackberry I even have ever used. The screen resolutions area unit excellent, videos area unit of fine quality and clarity too. This device works nice and switching between apps is perfect. Charging is quiet fast, attaining 500th inside 30 minutes.
Recommended as a mid range Smartphone.
